Our Process

Step 1: Share Your Vision

Share your specific needs, preferences, and any requests you may have. We will customize any of our existing pieces with additional carat weights, gemstone variations, metal variations, or by incorporating Milamore design elements.

Step 2: Conceptualization

Once we understand your vision, our founder George Inaki Root and our creative team will craft a visual draft of your design. This visual draft can be refined up to three times to ensure it perfectly aligns with your vision.
To begin this personalized journey, we charge a design deposit that can range from $250-$500 depending on the complexity of the design.
This fee is non-refundable, however if you decide to move forward with the design, it will be credited towards the amount of your final piece.

Step 3: Casting & Sourcing

For custom designs, our atelier team may need to create a custom hand-carved silver casting as part of the process. Images of the silver casting can be provided upon request at no additional charge.
However, if you wish to try on the piece, we can ship the silver casting from Japan and arrange a fitting appointment at our NYC office. Alternatively, we can ship it directly to you for fitting, where you can suggest any final adjustments.
After the fitting, the silver casting will be returned to Japan for completion. This try-on service requires an additional $450+ deposit, which will be credited toward the final amount of your piece.

Step 4: Finishing Touches

After the designs are approved, our atelier in Japan will begin crafting your custom piece. This process typically takes 6-8 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design.
During this final step, we offer complimentary custom engraving to further personalize your piece with meaningful sentiments. Once complete, it will be shipped to our New York office for quality checks and packaging before being sent to you.
